Spain confirmed on Saturday that Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets suffered a knee injury in the 1-1 draw with Switzerland.
The 32-year-old returned to the starting XI for the game but had to be replaced in the second half after picking up a problem.
Busquets will now be assessed on Sunday to determine the severity of the problem:
“Sergio Busquets received a strong blow to his left knee and ended the game with discomfort . The team’s medical services will assess the footballer’s physical condition tomorrow,” read a statement.

Spain are due to play Germany in the Nations League on Tuesday, although it seems that Busquets may miss the game and be sent back to Barcelona instead.
The Catalan giants are in action on Saturday against Atletico Madrid, but it’s not clear if Busquets will be fit for the trip to the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.
