Memphis Depay has once again hinted at his exit from his current club, Olympique Lyonnais, this time through his Twitter account.

The tweet reads: “Y’all will appreciate me when im gone. Enjoy the Sunday.“

This came after he was substituted in Lyon’s 3-0 win over Reims.

Last summer, he was close to joining Barcelona but the deal reportedly fell through because Barcelona lacked the funds to pull it off. His relationship with Ronald Koeman is strong from their time in the national team together, and the injury to Ansu Fati has made Barcelona even more likely to need a reinforcement in the forward line.

However, it is not known if Barcelona will have the cash to finally make the deal work. One possibility that has been rumored in the media is that the sale of Martin Braithwaite could raise money to sign Depay. But interestingly, Braithwaite has scored three times in the past two games, perhaps convincing Koeman not to let him go.
