Barcelona midfielder Pedri has been talking about the club’s current situation and says this is not the time for excuses.

It’s been a bad week so far for the Catalan giants. Ronald Koeman’s men suffered a shock 2-1 defeat to Cadiz at the weekend and were then comfortably beaten 3-0 by Juventus.

Barca’s inability to top their Champions League group also means a tough last-16 draw awaits with Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain potential opponents.

Pedri, who has been one of the few positives in a poor start to the season for Barcelona, says his team need to stop making mistakes and start improving.

“This is not the time to make excuses, neither in terms of the sporting results or with the club. You have to do your best on the pitch.

“We have to improve in La Liga and when the Champions League returns as well. We can offer improvements. We have made mistakes and we know it. We are going to change the dynamics.”
