Ronald Koeman called up Barcelona B midfielder Ilaix Moriba for first-team training on Monday as the team continued their preparations for their final La Liga game of 2020 against Eibar.
It’s not the first time that Ilaix has trained with the senior squad but it’s been a while since he’s been called up and the 17-year-old’s presence was the main talking point from Barca’s session.
The team are due to train again on Tuesday before Koeman announces his squad for the match at the Camp Nou. It would be a surprise if Ilaix was included in the squad, but his appearance in training suggests he is in Koeman’s thoughts.
Ousmane Dembele is expected to be passed fit before the match, while Sergi Roberto, Ansu Fati, Gerard Pique, Lionel Messi are on the injured list and Jordi Alba is suspended.
