Ronald Araújo wasted no time in assuming responsibility for his mistake in Barcelona’s 1-1 draw with Eibar. The young defender was at fault as Kike García gave Eibar an early lead.
“It’s really a shame that we couldn’t win three points, which was the important thing, the ideal thing... the truth is the goal we conceded was s—t,” Araújo told cameras after the match.
“We can’t concede like that. It’s a shame.“
The Uruguayan reportedly asked to speak to the press after the match was done, as he wanted to own up to his mistake publicly.

Barcelona’s draw put the Catalans further away from the top of the table, with expectations adjusting after finishing second last season. At the moment, the team is not even in position to qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League.
