Barcelona midfielder Carles Alena could be on his way out on loan in January with Getafe a potential destination for the 22-year-old.
President Angel Torres has spoken about his club’s transfer targets and confirmed that Takefusa Kubo and Alena are two players that could arrive this winter.
“Kubo wants to come. Yes, the other reinforcement may be Alena. But we are not going to go crazy.”

Alena was handed the No. 6 shirt at the start of the season but has struggled for game time under Ronald Koeman. The midfielder has only managed 46 minutes in La Liga and his only start came in the Champions League win over Dynamo Kiev.
The youngster spent the second half of last season on loan at Real Betis, and it seems another temporary move could well be on the cards if he wants to play regularly between now and the end of the campaign.
Getafe slipped to a 1-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid in their final fixture of 2020 on Wednesday. The defeat leaves the team just two points off the relegation zone after 15 games.
