Erling Braut Haaland’s agent has hit back at claims from presidential candidate Emili Rousaud that the striker could move to Barcelona.

Rousaud’s adviser, Josep Maria Minguella, said if Rousaud was elected he’d get on the phone to Raiola to complete a deal for Haaland.

Yet Raiola insists he has not been in contact with Rousaud or any other Barcelona presidential candidates.

“It’s fake news. I’ve never spoken with any candidate about Haaland and I won’t. When a new president is elected, they can call me.”

It’s not clear how Barcelona would finance a deal for Haaland in any case. The Dortmund striker is one of Europe’s hottest properties after his performances for the Bundesliga side.

Haaland was named the winner of the 2020 Golden Boy Award, finishing ahead of Ansu Fati, and it’s been reported clubs would have to start the bidding at €75m if they wanted to prise the youngster away from Dortmund.
