Jordi Alba didn’t train with the group on Thursday as Barcelona turned their attentions to Saturday’s La Liga clash with Cadiz.

The full-back instead did specific work in the gym, although it’s thought to only be a precautionary measure, according to AS.

Alba did feature in the 3-0 win over Ferencvaros but came off at half-time and was replaced by Junior Firpo for the second 45 minutes.

The report reckons Alba was spotted stretching towards the end of the first half, suggesting he may have a minor niggle that’s bothering him.

Alba has made 12 appearances for Barcelona this season and picked up five assists along the way.

Barca train again in the morning before Koeman names his squad for the game against Cadiz on Saturday but Alba is expected to make the trip.

If not then Junior Firpo is the most likely option to come in and make what would be his first La Liga start of the 2020-21 season.
