Marc Cucurella says Barcelona youngsters don’t get the chances they deserve

The 21-year-old is on loan at Getafe

Marc Cucurella has been talking about Barcelona ahead of Saturday’s match between Getafe and his parent club at the Camp Nou.

The 21-year-old, who is on loan at Getafe, says the Catalan giants do not have the same patience as they used to have with their youngsters.

“I think that in Barcelona, ​​which is a great club, in the end the important thing is to win. They don’t have the patience they used to.

“As an academy graduate, they do not give the opportunities youngsters deserve. In football, the important thing is to win but there is more value when you win after having been patient.”

Barcelona allowed youngsters Jean-Clair Todibo, Carles Perez and Abel Ruiz to leave in January, with the trio having see little first-team football at the Camp Nou.

Cucurella was also asked about speculation Barcelona want Getafe team-mate Angel and said the forward has “proven he’s a great player” and should enjoy himself if he gets to move to Barca.
