Samuel Umtiti still not back in full Barcelona training ahead of Real Mallorca clash

The defender did specific work on Tuesday

Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti’s fitness continues to be a source of concern ahead of the weekend’s game at Real Mallorca.

The Frenchman sat out Sunday’s recovery session and trained away from his team-mates when the players returned to work on Tuesday after a day off.

Clement Lenglet is suspended for Saturday’s La Liga game which means Umtiti’s latest injury setback comes at a bad time.

Ronald Araujo took part in the session and could start Saturday’s game alongside Gerard Pique if Umtiti doesn’t recover in time.

Barca still have three more training sessions before they head to Real Mallorca, meaning there is still time for Umtiti to prove his fitness.

Ivan Rakitic also skipped training on Tuesday with Quique Setien’s permission, interestingly the Croatian celebrates his 32nd birthday today.
