Rivaldo has been talking about Antoine Griezmann and says his first season at Barcelona is reminscent of Philippe Coutinho’s.

The Frenchman has hit 14 goals in his first campaign at the Camp Nou, but there’s a feeling he hasn’t quite lived up to expectations after his big-money move in the summer.

Rivaldo has offered the World Cup winner some advice on how to become a key player for the Catalan giants.

“His first season is reminding me of Coutinho’s. Both were playing great football when they arrived at the club but didn’t manage to replicate it at Barcelona. I think he needs to dedicate himself a little bit more to truly produce his best football and become a decisive member of Quique Setien’s team.”

Coutinho only managed one full season at Barcelona before being shipped off to Bayern Munich on loan, although it looks as though he could return in the summer.

The Bundesliga champions seem unlikely to take up their option to buy, while Chelsea have been linked with the Brazilian in recent days.
