Ousmane Dembélé is on his way out from FC Barcelona, according to a new report which contradicts other stories out there saying Barcelona will keep the Frenchman.
The winger’s time at Camp Nou has been frustrating, showing flashes of the player that made the Catalans splurge on him in the first place, but marred by inconsistency and several long-term injuries.
According to the new report, Barcelona will either sell him or use him as part of an exchange to land other players such as Lautaro Martínez (Inter Milan) and Neymar (Paris Saint-Germain.)
He is still recovering from an injury, although at the moment that seems inconsequential given most professional football around the world is on hold. Barcelona might be hoping he recovers soon, though, in order to get him in shape to start offering him to clubs.
In the past, the player himself has rejected possibilities of leaving the club, but the latest gossip says he has seen that perhaps his future is not in Barcelona after all.
Interestingly, the new report says Barcelona has told many reporters Dembélé is not for sale precisely to keep his value in the market high.
