Lionel Messi named La Liga Player of the Month for February

Barcelona captain Lionel Messi has been named February’s Player of the Month in La Liga.

The GOAT picked up six assists and four goals from four matches to scoop the award ahead of Sevilla’s Lucas Ocampos and Alexander Isak of Real Sociedad.

Messi picked up two assists in the win over Levante, one against Getafe, three against Real Betis and then scored four against Eibar.

The award is Messi’s second of the season. He was also named Player of the Month for November.
