FC Barcelona are hoping to recover Arthur in time for their second leg against Napoli in the UEFA Champions League. The Brazilian midfielder missed Barcelona’s 1-0 win over Real Sociedad due to pain in his ankle, but the Catalans desperately need him back with Sergio Busquets and Arturo Vidal out through suspension in the Champions League.

According to reports, Arthur seems to be recovering well and there is some confidence he will be available in this hugely important meeting.

Barcelona are also said to be pushing Brazil not to take him to play FIFA World Cup qualifying matches in the weeks after the Napoli clash, allowing him time off to recover more after playing against the Italians.

Quique Setién only has two first-team midfielders available apart from Arthur: Frenkie de Jong and Ivan Rakitic.
