Junior Firpo has ‘mixed feelings’ about his first season at Barcelona

Barcelona left-back Junior Firpo has admitted to having “mixed feelings” about his first season at the Camp Nou.

The defender took part in an Instagram Live chat with journalist Álvaro de Grado and offered some insight into how he’s feeling about life with the Spanish champions.

“Mixed feelings: perhaps I have played more games than I thought, but the feelings have been gray,” he said.

“People remember the bad, but there have also been very good times. It is the first year of adaptation, perhaps this period of confinement serves to reset us a bit.”

Junior has struggled to impress so far at Barcelona and has looked far from confident when he has played for the first team.

The 23-year-old has made nine starts in La Liga in 2019-20 but has been linked with a move away in the summer transfer window.
