Wagner Ribeiro, who is variously described as Neymar’s agent, one of the agents Neymar works with, and Neymar’s ex-agent, has cast doubt over the star’s proposed move back to Barcelona.
Neymar’s main agent is his father, Neymar, Sr. But his family uses various representatives to help them secure deals, which has included him in the past.
Ribeiro is famously close to Real Madrid, having helped Robinho get his big move there back in the day. Speaking with FOX Sports Brazil, he revealed that Madrid were in for him in addition to Barcelona, but that the market has changed so much due to the coronavirus crisis that Neymar will likely not get his move out of Paris Saint-Germain.
“I believe Neymar will stay at PSG, because the market is different. The economic world of football will change.” he said.
“I have been in Madrid many times because Florentino Pérez’s goal is to recruit Neymar [to Real Madrid.] Last year, in May, I was with him in his office. He told me ha had a dream to sign him.”
