Ansu Fati sat out training Friday due to a knee issue which has reportedly been bothering him for the last few days.
The 17-year-old has instead been doing “specific work” after feeling discomfort in his knee, something that happened earlier in the season too, according to ESPN.
It’s not clear yet if it’s a serious problem, although Marca report that manager Quique Setien is being cautious and does not want to risk making the problem worse.
AS are also reporting the injury and reckon he’s been in the gym all week but could be back with the rest of the team next week.
Barcelona are currently training in two groups, as per La Liga protocols, and will be back again on Saturday morning for the last session of the week.
The club are gearing up for a return to action in early June. La Liga confirmed on Friday the season will start on June 11 when Real Betis take on Sevilla.
