Barcelona boss Quique Setien has reportedly been busy analysing his best midfield options while La Liga has been suspended and has decided on his preferred trio.
Mundo Deportivo report that Setien feels Barca have played their best football when Frenkie de Jong, Sergio Busquets and Ivan Rakitic have been in the XI.
The coach has apparently concluded that Barca were at their best in the 2-1 win over Levante, the Copa del Rey defeat to Athletic and the Clasico loss at the Bernabeu.
Setien reportedly views those games as better performances than the comfortable 5-0 wins over Eibar in La Liga and Leganes in the Copa del Rey.
Barca are expected to resume training on Friday with a view to La Liga potentially restarting next month.
The report reckons Setien wants to focus on “tactical aspects such as possession and control” when he finally has his players together again.
