Lazio defender Luiz Felipe says he’s pretty excited to hear of interest from Barcelona but is not getting carried away by the speculation.
Barcelona are said to have been tracking the centre-back for a little while and have reportedly been told he will cost around €40 million.
Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have also been linked, and Felipe has been asked about the transfer rumors.
“It excites me because it means I’m doing a good job and the big clubs are watching,” he said.
“But anyone who knows me, knows that I’m calm, and I don’t get carried away too easily.
“I have to stay focused and do my best for Lazio, who have given me confidence and support from day one.
“Two of my main goals are to represent Brazil in the Olympics and the World Cup. I will do all I can to achieve it, with great respect for my teammates.

Barca were regularly linked with defenders earlier in the year but those rumors have gone a little quiet recently with the coronavirus pandemic affecting the club’s transfer plans.
Bringing in an attacker such as Lautaro Martinez appears to be the club’s top priority currently rather than strengthening the defence.
