Nelson Semedo trained alone on Thursday as per La Liga protocol as Barcelona continued their preparations for Saturday’s match against Real Mallorca.

The right-back reportedly broke protocols by attending a birthday party with 19 other guests. Barcelona is still in Phase 2 of the de-escalation process which means only groups of up to 15 people are allowings. The guests at the party were also not wearing face masks or observing social distancing measures.

According to Cat Radio, Semedo will have another coronavirus test on Thursday and if the results is negative he could be allowed to rejoin the group tomorrow.

The news does put a question mark over his involvement on Saturday and suggests that Sergi Roberto is more likely to get the nod at right-back now.
