Lautaro Martínez has been given a stern warning by the Italian press: focus on Inter Milan, or lose your spot. The Argentine’s dry run (six games without scoring) has coincided with statistical drops in several categories, making Italy’s foremost sports paper wonder whether he’s distracted by transfer rumors.
“Regardless of events in the market, for Lautaro now there must be only Inter, otherwise [manager Antonio] Conte will have to look elsewhere for a boost in attack,” says Gazzetta dello Sport.
That elsewhere could be former Barcelona forward Alexis Sánchez. The press reckon Alexis could at least push Lautaro back to his best, and given how often games are coming through, they might split time anyway.
Lautaro is wanted by FC Barcelona, who are said to be negotiating for a way to bring the Argentine star to the Camp Nou.
