Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has sent a mesage of support to compatriot Bernd Leno after he was stretchered off on Saturday.

The German was forced off with what looked like a serious injury during the Gunners’ 2-1 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion after a collision with Neal Maupay.

Ter Stegen took to Instagram to offer his support to Leno:

Maupay ended up scoring a dramatic late winner to ensure Arsenal have now lost both of their games since the restart and was confronted by an angry Matteo Guendouzi at full-time.

The Brighton man said after the game he hadn’t intended to injure Leno, while boss Mikel Arteta confirmed Leno had suffered a knee injury that will need further tests.
