Juventus and Barcelona both are still keen on a player swap that would send Arthur to Italy in exchange for Miralem Pjanić and Mattia De Sciglio, according to a new report. There are some pieces already in place, but so far, it’s far from a complete and total done deal.

One of the main stumbling blocks is Arthur himself. Despite being reportedly told by Barcelona and Juve to accept, he does not want to leave the Camp Nou.

Meanwhile, the Bosnian reportedly has declined all other offers because he is sure he wants to join Barcelona. The Catalans supposedly see him as a player that would be an immediate fundamental block of the team.

Pjanić’s arrival could spell the end of Ivan Rakitić or Arturo Vidal’s time at the Camp Nou as well. Vidal has always had rumors of big offers from Italy, while it is understood that the Croatian is more inclined to stay until the end of his contract.
