Barcelona confirmed on Saturday that Luis Suarez is fit and ready to return to action ahead of La Liga’s restart next week.

The striker has been out of action since January when he needed knee surgery that saw him ruled out for four months.

Suarez’s season looked to be over but the suspension of La Liga means he will now be allowed to play a part in the title run-in.

The striker also took to Instagram to show his recovery from injury:

Barcelona’s first game back is away at Real Mallorca on June 13, and they then head back to the Camp Nou to play Leganes three days later.

Suarez will be hoping to force his way straight back into the starting XI. He scored 14 goals in 23 matches before his campaign was disrupted by injury.
