The summer transfer windows will be open before the completion of this current season, although players will not be able to switch clubs until the term is over, according to new information reported by RMC Sport.

FIFA will authorize leagues to open up their transfer windows 4 weeks before the end of their respective league competitions, a move which would be welcomed by Ligue 1 clubs.

The French league has canceled the rest of the season, and many clubs are eager to sell players, with revenue frozen due to the coronavirus crisis.

Still, no players bought before the end of the 19-20 season will be allowed to play for their new clubs until the 20-21 season. In addition, it is expected that a transfer window will be opened at the end of the current season, as well.
