The next Barcelona match is upon us! The Blaugrana return to La Liga action with an away game against Real Valladolid, and Quique Setién has called up the following 18 players for Saturday’s trip:
Goalkeepers: 1. Marc-André ter Stegen, 13. Neto, 36. Arnau Tenas
Defenders: 2. Nélson Semedo, 3. Gerard Piqué, 15. Clément Lenglet, 18. Jordi Alba, 24. Junior Firpo, 33. Ronald Araujo
Midfielders: 4. Ivan Rakitic, 5. Sergio Busquets, 20. Sergi Roberto, 22. Arturo Vidal, 28. Riqui Puig
Forwards: 9. Luis Suárez, 10. Lionel Messi, 17. Antoine Griezmann, 19. Martin Braithwaite
The return of Junior Firpo from a hip injury is the only bit of good news for this one: a total of five first team players are unavailable, with Arthur (illness), Frenkie De Jong (calf), Samuel Umtiti (knee) and Ousmane Dembélé (hamstring) out with injury while Ansu Fati is suspended. Only 15 outfield players are available since the Barça B youngsters who have been part of the squad in previous games are involved in the Third Division playoffs and are back with the youth team.
Predicted starting XI (4-3-1-2):
Ter Stegen; Roberto, Piqué, Lenglet, Alba; Vidal, Rakitic, Puig; Messi; Griezmann, Suárez
The match kicks off at 7.30pm CET (Barcelona), 6.30pm BST/WAT (UK & Nigeria), 1.30pm ET, 10.30am PT (USA), 11pm IST (India), and you can join us to follow and comment all the action.
