Barcelona confirmed on Sunday that Antoine Griezmann has been ruled out of action through injury.
The France international started Saturday's win over Real Valladolid but went off at half-time.
Quique Setien explained after the match that Griezmann had asked to be taken off after feeling some discomfort.
Here's Barca's statement:
❗[LATEST NEWS] Tests this morning have shown that Antoine Griezmann has a quadriceps muscle injury in his right leg. He is not available for selection and the evolution of the injury will condition his availability.https://t.co/G7caKZS9Io pic.twitter.com/7jxrypVRsj— FC Barcelona (@FCBarcelona) July 12, 2020
It looks like Griezmann's La Liga season is now over, but Barca will be hoping he is fit for the return of the Champions League in August.
