FC Barcelona announce squad for La Liga match against Alavés

The next Barcelona match is upon us! The Blaugrana travel to the Basque Country for their final La Liga game of the season against Deportivo Alavés, and Quique Setién has called up the following 16 (sixteen!!!) players for the trip to the Mendizorrotza Stadium:

Goalkeepers: 1. Marc-André ter Stegen, 13. Neto, 36. Arnau Tenas

Defenders: 2. Nélson Semedo, 15. Clément Lenglet, 18. Jordi Alba, 33. Ronald Araujo

Midfielders: 5. Sergio Busquets, 20. Sergi Roberto, 21. Frenkie De Jong, 22. Arturo Vidal, 28. Riqui Puig

Forwards: 9. Luis Suárez, 10. Lionel Messi, 19. Martin Braithwaite, 31. Ansu Fati

The list of absentees for the season finale is immense: SEVEN first team players are unavailable, with Gerard Piqué, Ivan Rakitic and Junior Firpo missing out through suspension, Antoine Griezmann (hamstring), Samuel Umtiti (knee) and Ousmane Dembélé (hamstring) out due to injury and Arthur not selected for the trip to avoid any issues ahead of his move to Juventus. There are three goalkeepers on the list, which means there will be only three outfield players on the bench to be used as substitutes.
