“Practically impossible”

Chelsea are rumored to be on the hunt for a new keeper to succeed Kepa, and have set their sights on, among others, Marc-André ter Stegen.

But the chances of Barcelona agreeing to let him go, or indeed the German wanting to go, are “practically impossible” according to a new report.

However, it is understood that Chelsea will still make an attempt, even though they’re aware there’s a high chance that it won’t work. The London club is going through a renewal process after selling its main star, Eden Hazard, to Real Madrid last summer. They have made some aggressive moves as the transfer window draws closer to fully opening.

It is said that Chelsea also have their sights on another of La Liga’s top keepers: Jan Oblak. However, it is also thought that procuring his services will not be easy, either, with Atlético Madrid unlikely to want to part with one of their main building blocks.
