Barcelona could hand Arthur the “biggest fine in the club’s history” and will meet the midfielder’s lawyers next week to discuss his refusal to return to the club.
Arthur was due back to the club last week after a few days off following the end of the league season but has remained in Brazil, leading Barca to open disciplinary proceedings.
Sport report that “Barça don’t understand the player’s stance” and are “annoyed at Arthur’s way of dealing with this situation.”
Indeed the club feel that “they could have reached a pact” with the Brazil international if there had been some dialogue between both parties.
Arthur has reportedly decided not to play for Barcelona again because he’s unhappy with the way he’s been treated since agreeing a summer move to Juventus.
