Lionel Messi has a mission this season. It’s unclear if the mission is to leave Barca at all costs or grab a treble, but there’s a mission ahead that’s clear enough.

The Argentine started back at Barca training this week after his short will he, won’t he, drama with Barcelona concluded. Part of that training has been getting used to working with Ronald Koeman.

Koeman’s training style has been characterized as being a bit difficult. The Barca squad was given the day off on Thursday due to the more intense than usual training habits and double sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday. Messi decided he wasn’t going to take the day off.

The captain, along with Lenglet, Busquets and Griezmann, came to the training ground to get some work in on the off day. The trio were back at work after returning from international day, while Messi is playing catch-up after sitting out training last week.
