WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON

Nike pays Barcelona a lot of money to design their kits, and most of the time they do a good job. But as we saw last season, they like to go crazy at times and come up with insane designs that we have to stomach for an entire season.

The 2020-21 kits are very good, both home and away (I’m ignoring the third one), but apparently Nike can’t go a year without coming up with a monstrosity. Case in point, this is the reported leading contender for the 2021-22 home kit, according to Mundo Deportivo:

WHAT THE HELL
Mundo Deportivo

The writer for Mundo Deportivo is a very nice and polite man and calls the shirt “impactful”, and clearly the design for the shirt pays homage to the design of the Barcelona crest.

But let’s be honest: this isn’t impactful. This is garbage. This is the worst Barcelona shirt of all time. Please don’t do this, Nike. Please.
