Ansu Fati officially returned to Barcelona training today for the first time since suffering an injury in preseason training. The Spanish international picked up a hip injury and hasn’t been able to participate in any preseason matches thus far.

Fati’s first minutes may come against Elche in this weekend’s Joan Gamper Trophy match. The Camp Nou will be the venue and just as it’ll be a first for Fati and this year’s preseason, it’ll be Ronald Koeman’s first match in the Camp Nou.
Koeman’s strategic changes from previous Barca managers means Fati will likely play a massive role in the club’s success or failure. Let’s hope for an injury-free season from the youngster.
