Barcelona are reportedly in talks to sell right-back Nelson Semedo and a deal for the Portugal international could be close.

According to ESPN, Barcelona are negotiating with an unnamed Premier League team, and a club source has said “if all goes well” the transfer could go through this weekend.

The Catalan giants are keen to sell this summer to bring in some cash to fund other deals but are struggling to offload players. So far only Ivan Rakitic has gone for a nominal fee.

Semedo is a player who could bring in a decent sum, and there have already been reports Sergino Dest could come in on loan to replace the 26-year-old.

Manchester City center-back Eric Garcia is also wanted, while Memphis Depay is another player who has been heavily linked with a move to Barca.

It’s not clear which Premier League club Barca are talking to but Wolves have been mentioned recently. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are also set to sell Diogo Jota to Liverpool which means they would have funds to sign Semedo.
