FC Barcelona are making a push to sign Max Aarons, as another young fullback they are pursuing, Sergiño Dest, nears a move to Bayern Munich. Nélson Semedo seems likely to be signed by Wolverhampton Wanderers, meaning Barcelona will have the cash as well as the space in the squad to make a signing.

In fact, the Catalans have already agreed to a 5-year deal with the Norwich right-back, according to a new report.

It is said that Norwich already declined a loan without a mandatory buy clause from Barcelona, but are open to a possible loan with one that would activate next season. The price that is rumored is 20 million pounds, plus an additional 10 in variables, although of course Barcelona will try to negotiate a better deal.

Dest was Ronald Koeman’s top choice, but the report says Aarons was the player the club preferred from the start. The American seems destined to join Bayern Munich because they have more money and can offer a better fee to Ajax. However, Barcelona seem to be very impressed with Aarons as well.

Aarons is an English youth international who saw the pitch for more minutes than any other U20 fullback in the top five leagues last season.
