Ansu Fati made more history on Thursday when he came off the bench to make his debut for the Spain national team against Germany.

The Barcelona starlet replaced Jesus Navas at half-time to become the second youngest player ever to debut for Spain and the youngest in 84 years.

Fati was just 17 years and 309 days when he took to the pitch:

Ansu almost grabbed a debut goal too, finishing neatly from a Dani Carvajal cross but his effort was ruled out for offside.

Spain ended up drawing 1-1 with Germany. Timo Werner opened the scoring, but Jose Gaya scored a stoppage-time equaliser.

It was also a good day for Riqui Puig. The midfielder made his international debut for Spain Under-21s in a 1-0 win over North Macedonia.
