Luis Enrique says Pedri is a player ‘a lot of us like’

Former Barcelona boss and current Spain manager Luis Enrique commented on Pedri this week. The Barcelona youngster has been turning heads this season and getting consistent playing time could prove key to earning a spot in the Spain squad for the Euros.

“We have not called him up but he’s regularly in the U21s. Being coach of the national team I have total preference, that’s what Luis de la Fuente told me, along with the rest of the coaches, to select, regardless of age.

“It could be Pedri or any Spanish player (in there) until March, Pedri is a player that a lot of us like, that’s evident.”

Not gonna lie, the thought of seeing Pedri starting or at least playing a key role for Spain at the Euros in the summer is beyond exciting. Let’s hope that can happen.
