Barcelona are preparing to go to courtroom war. Not really, but the club are reportedly and obviously working on a plan to attempt to reduce any ban Lionel Messi receives.

This comes on the heels of Messi receiving a red card in Barcelona’s Supercopa loss over the weekend. The red card will likely see Messi miss a couple of matches, although reports have claimed he could miss four games if the RFEF take a dim view of the incident.

Barca and the rest of us would be surprised if this ban is anything more than two matches after the dust settles. However, crazier things have happened. Although, Messi heading towards the end of his contract with Barca losing, and him seeing red isn’t great.

A decision is expected in the next day or two.
