Ronald Araujo admits Barcelona are making mistakes that could be avoided but says the team are working hard to put things right.

The Catalan giants have been guilty of individual errors in defense all season long which have hurt their title hopes and frustrated manager Ronald Koeman.

Araujo admits Barca could be doing better at the back but says he is doing all he can to improve this game.

“We are committing mistakes that we should not commit. The defenders talk a lot between themselves and with the coach and working hard we know the results will come. We will put up a fight in the league.

“I am working hard to have chances and I am happy to take advantage of them, and that they have confidence in me, that I can play and help the team. A player who is playing is always happy. Things are going well but I have to keep working as there is still a lot to learn and experience to pick up.”

The Uruguayan has cemented his place in the team in Gerard Pique’s absence and has been one of the real positives for Barca’s season so far. According to Mundo Deportivo, Araujo has not been dribbled past in his last 10 games for Barca.
