Jordi Alba was back in Barcelona training on Saturday as the team continued preparations for their Clasico clash with Real Madrid at the Camp Nou.

The left-back is a doubt for the game after sustaining an ankle injury against Dynamo Kiev but looks to be in with a good chance of starting after working out with the team.

Alba has been named in the squad to face Los Blancos and Ronald Koeman offered an update on his fitness in his pre-match press conference.

He told reporters, “It’s true he had some discomfort. He’s trained well and he’s ready to play.”

There have been reports Alba could end up taking pain-killing injections in order to play, although you have to wonder whether that’s a good idea or not.

Koeman does have options if Alba doesn’t make it. Alejandro Balde is fit again after a back problem, while Sergino Dest has filled in at left-back already this season.
