If you wanted some good news following a tough Clasico loss at home, you’re gonna wanna close out this article. According to a report from Diario, Pedri’s injury recovery has taken a setback.

The youngster picked up the knock a little over a month ago and re-injured it against Benfica. He was close to returning after the injury to his thigh, but re-injured it in training last week ahead of El Clasico.

As a result of the setback, he’s set to undergo a scan on Monday to see if the injury has gotten worse. It’s not clear yet when we might expect to see Pedri back to full fitness.

The news comes at a bad time for Barcelona as they also lost midfielder Frenkie de Jong to injury after El Clasico. However, as Barca did with Ansu Fati, I hope they take extreme precautions with Pedri and any sort of injury.
