Barcelona were left at the altar a few different times this summer. Most notably with Lionel Messi, but one that flew under the radar was Georginio Wijnaldum’s decision to join Paris Saint-Germain for free instead of Barcelona.
The midfield has been lacking that type of presence and now Barca are considering who to target in January as a replacement. There are a few names Sport is reporting could be on the wishlist.
Marcelo Brozovic, Franck Kessie, Donny van de Beek, and Tanguy Ndombele are all names Barca are considering to be feasible options in the winter transfer window. There are certainly a couple of names on that list I would prefer for Barca, but that doesn’t matter all that much.
Barca CEO Ferran Reverter has said this week the club has €20 million to spend in January if needed which means it’s certainly possible there could be an arrival or two.
Who do you prefer to bolster the Barca midfield?
