Barcelona Femeni winger Caroline Graham Hansen has come up with a very classy response after surprisingly missing out on a nomination for the 2021 Women’s Ballon d’Or.
The Norway international’s name was a shock omission from the shortlist of 20 players for the prestigious award that was announced on Friday.
Hansen’s Barca team-mates Alexia Putellas, Lieke Martens, Jenni Hermoso, Irene Paredes, and Sandra Panos were all included with the Catalans unsurprisingly dominating after their treble-winning exploits.
Yet the 26-year-old doesn’t seem at all bothered and came up with a brilliant tweet instead.
To everyone who is wondering. It’s all good. We won the triplet and we are working our asses off to achieve this again. All that matters and the only thing that matters. #soyculé

Barca Femeni have already started the season in blistering form once again, winning all five league matches so far and banging in 35 goals along the way. The Catalans also opened their Champions League in style in midweek, easing to a comprehensive 4-1 win over Arsenal.
Graham Hansen has two goals and three assists for Barca in five games in 2021-22 and is in the squad for today’s clash at Atletico Madrid. Las Rojiblancas are just two points behind the league leaders with 13 points from their first five games.
