Barcelona are reportedly expected to be without striker Ansu Fati for 4-6 weeks after the teenager suffered an injury against Celta Vigo.

Fati was taken off in the first half after scoring the opening goal with Barcelona subsequently confirming the nature of his injury.

Barcelona haven’t confirmed how long Fati will be out for but Catalunya Radio reckon it will be at least a month and could be as long as six weeks.

The news means that Fati will miss both Champions League games against Benfica and Bayern Munich as well as La Liga outings against Espanyol, Villarreal, Real Betis, and Osasuna.

Fati’s injury is a real blow with the youngster having only just returned from 10 months out with a knee injury. The striker has scored four times in eight games and been handed a recall to the Spain team.

The injury means new coach Xavi is seriously short of attacking options with Sergio Aguero also out until 2022, while Ousmane Dembele is also injured again after sustaining a hamstring problem.
