The player from the Canary Islands was in the starting XI in the 2-0 win over Sevilla in the Sánchez-Pizjuán stadium and played 71 minutes before injury saw him replaced by Ilaix Moriba.

Pedri’s injury didn’t look good. He felt something go in the bottom part of his left leg, as Barcelona said in a medical statement, and he quickly asked for a change. The Canarian arrived at the hotel on crutches and obviously hurt. More tests will take place on Sunday but SPORT has learned he has a calf injury which could keep him out for around two weeks.
