Ronald Araujo made his return from injury as a substitute in Monday’s 4-1 win over Huesca in La Liga and admitted it was good to be back in action.

The center-back has been sidelined since picking up an injury on his return from a sprained ankle in the league win over Sevilla in February.

The 21-year-old is now looking forward to helping his team in their fight for the title after closing the gap to Atletico Madrid to four points with Monday’s win.

“The team is very good. When the results were bad, we said that we were going to come back and fight for all the titles. The pity is that the Champions League has been lost, but we have the league there and we have to fight for it. We have the team to do it. We are Barça, it is our goal and we have it close.

“I reappeared against Sevilla, but I didn’t feel comfortable. Now I’m back and I have to work for when the team needs me. I am happy for the victory. It was important to add the three points.”

It will be interesting to see how Ronald Koeman reshuffles his defense now Araujo is back to full fitness. The Uruguayan looks likely to start next time out when Barca take on Real Sociedad at Anoeta.
