Depay and Wijnaldum reportedly nearing Barcelona signing

Two of Ronald Koeman’s expected summer transfer players are apparently nearing official signing status. The Dutch duo, Memphis Depay and Georginio Wijnaldum, are reportedly set to join the club on free transfers this summer.

These would be pretty important signings for Barca. As we’ve discussed ad nauseum, Barca is cash-strapped this year. This means the importance of signing players who don’t require a transfer sum is vital.

The nice thing about these two lads is that the salaries required to get them both to sign on the dotted line won’t be anything out of the realm of Barca’s ability. We’ll keep a close watch on the rumors surrounding these two as we get closer to summer.
