Barcelona will be without Ousmane Dembele for tonight’s La Liga match against Getafe at the Camp Nou through injury.
The Catalan giants confirmed on Thursday that Dembele is not in the squad because he’s still struggling with “discomfort in his pelvis” which reports have claimed has been an issue for a little while.
Barcelona haven’t offered much detail and there’s no clue yet whether it’s a serious problem or how much time Dembele will miss.
Dembele’s absence means Barca are short of attackers currently with Martin Braithwaite also out with a sprained ankle. Ansu Fati and Philippe Coutinho remain sidelined and aren’t expected to play again this season for Barca.
The Frenchman’s injury means it’s likely to be Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann in attack once again for Barca against Getafe.
Konrad de la Fuente has been called up to the squad in Dembele’s absence and will be hoping for some rare first-team minutes off the bench, while we should see Francisco Trincao at some point too.
