Sergi Roberto made his 300th appearance for Barcelona on Sunday, coming on as a substitute at half-time and replacing Sergino Dest against Villarreal.
It was a memorable day for the versatile 29-year-old with Barca running out 2-1 winners to keep their title charge on track.
Roberto took to social media after the game to celebrate hitting the landmark.
“I came to Barcelona when I was 14 years old and today I played game number 300 with the club of my life, hoping for many more and success! Thank you to everyone who helped me along this path. Força Barça!”
There have been conflicting rumors about Roberto’s Barcelona future this season with the 29-year-old out of contract in 2022. The most recent update comes from Mundo Deportivo who reckon the club will only offer a one-year contract which Roberto is not too happy about.
