FULL-TIME, Barcelona 1-2 Granada: That’s it at the Camp Nou. A shocking result and Barça have wasted the chance to go top of the table and no longer control their own destiny in the title race.


90+5min: Messi’s cross is good but Piqué can’t reach it and Escandell grabs it.

90+4min: Last chance for Barça as Messi is fouled by Marín on the right wing.

90+3min: Cross from Messi, Piqué wins the initial header but Dembélé is offside and Granada have a free-kick.

90+2min: Piqué heads a cross from Alba well wide and Barça are starting to run out of time.

90+1min: Big cross from Alba that is easily grabbed by Escandell.

90min: Four minutes of stoppage time have been added.

89min: Yellow card for Sánchez for dissent.

87min: Big scramble in the box after a cross from Alba and Piqué is called for a foul on Sánchez as Granada try to get to the finish line.

86min: Vico is on for Suárez as Granada make another change.

83min: Trincão hits a shot straight at Quini who is down and in need of medical help.

81min: Francisco Trincão is on for Busquets as Koeman makes his third substitution.

80min: Granada counter attack, Suárez has a shot blocked by Umtiti and his subsequent cross goes out for a goal kick.


GOAL, Barcelona 1-2 Granada (Molina 79’): Granada take the lead. Marín with the cross from the left and Molina is all alone to head the ball into the net.


78min: Messi’s free-kick hits the wall but the ball falls to Griezmann who fires a low cross into the six-yard box and Piqué hits is wide.

76min: Nice move down the right by Dembélé who shakes Quini off but his cross his cleared by Sánchez.

75min: Third change for Granada as Marín replaces the goalscorer Machís.

75min: Dembélé takes a corner, Umtiti wins the aerial battle but his header goes well wide.

74min: Barça bringing on the pressure and Granada are relying on last-ditch tackles and blocks right now.

72min: Double change for Barça: Pedri replaces Mingueza, and Dembélé is on for Ilaix.

71min: Fantastic tackle by Sánchez on Messi to stop a very promising counter attack.

70min: Nice shot of Koeman in the stands communicating with his bench via the phone. Let’s see if he has some good ideas to turn this around.

68min: Barça have been clearly affected by Granada’s goal and haven’t been able to keep the ball at all since conceding.

66min: RED CARD! Ronald Koeman is sent off by the referee for dissent after saying something that the fourth official didn’t like.


GOAL, Barcelona 1-1 Granada (Machís 63’): Granada equalize. Molina plays a pass to find Machís, Mingueza can’t block it and Machís beats Ter Stegen.

58min: It’s a passing clinic from Busquets as Sergio plays a near perfect through ball to Roberto, but he can’t quite reach it and it’s a goal kick.

56min: Another exceptional pass by Busquets over the top to pick up a great run by Roberto, but Sergi’s pass finds no one and is cleared away.

54min: Great ball by Busquets to release De Jong, but the Granada backline mobs Frenkie in the box and takes the ball away.

52min: Messi finds De Jong inside the box, Frenkie finds Roberto with a great cross but Sergi sends his volley over the bar.

50min: Big counter attack by Granada as Soldado carries the ball into the box, but he tries to pass instead of shoot and Piqué and Umtiti combine to clear the danger away.

47min: CHANCE! Great pass from Umtiti to Ilaix, who finds Griezmann inside the box but Antoine fires it wide with his right foot.

46min: No halftime changes as both teams begin the second half with the same teams that finished the first.

SECOND HALF KICKOFF! Barcelona 1-0 Granada: And we’re back underway!


HALFTIME, Barcelona 1-0 Granada: Barça dominated the first half and Messi could have had another goal or two, but as it stands it’s only a one-goal lead and Barça have more work to do.


43min: YELLOW CARD. Second booking of the game as Nehuén grabs Messi in midfield and gets a yellow.

42min: Messi tries a cross aiming for De Jong but it’s too strong and goes out for a goal kick.

40min: Soldado finds space down the right but Umtiti makes a brilliant tackle to stop him from finding Suárez for a tap-in.

39min: Eteki tries a shot from outside the box that may have gone out of the stadium.

38min: Another great ball by Busquets to find Messi, and Leo’s cross is cleared by Díaz before Ilaix can get to it.

37min: Corner by Griezmann and Umtiti rises and heads the ball straight at Escandell.

36min: HUGE CHANCE! Perfect long ball over the top by Busquets to find Messi, who takes his time and tries to find the bottom corner but Escandell gets a vital foot and saves it away for a corner.

35min: Play restarts.

33min: Stoppage in play for a treatment on Quini, who’s down after a good tackle by Piqué.

31min: Cynical foul by Nehuén Pérez who blocks Messi’s path with an arm to the chest. Barça take the free-kick short, Messi releases Roberto but nobody is there to meet his cross.

29min: De Jong finds Messi inside the box but Leo takes one touch too many and Víctor Díaz gets to the ball in time to make the block.

28min: A promising attack from Barça is killed by two misplaced passes by Ilaix Moriba and then Messi.

26min: Barça transition quickly from back to front and Messi finds himself in space at the edge of the box, but Eteki makes a great block.

25min: Big chance for Granada as Herrera steals the ball from Busquets and gets in a good position inside the box, but shoots wide with his weaker left foot.


GOAL!!! Barcelona 1-0 Granada (Messi 23’): BARÇA TAKE THE LEAD! Beautiful one-two between Leo and Griezmann and the captain finds the bottom corner with a well-placed low shot.


22min: Herrera tries a long ball to find Machís inside the box, but the pass is too strong and goes away for a Barça goal kick.

20min: YELLOW CARD. Bad tackle by Soldado on Griezmann, and the Granada striker is the first booking of the match.

19min: Busquets finds Messi inside the box, Leo takes a couple of touches and finds Griezmann at the edge of the area, and Antoine’s shot is on target but low and easy to catch for Escandell.

17min: Barça struggling to keep hold of the ball in the final third as Granada press higher and break up the play with tactical fouls.

15min: Long passing move by Barça, Griezmann receives the ball in the box but Machís sends the ball away for a corner, which is taken short and Messi plays a cross straight to the keeper’s hands.

14min: Free-kick on the side for Granada and Machís has his first cross cleared away, and his second cross goes out for a throw-in.

13min: Quite a few fouls from both teams and the pace has slowed down over the last five minutes.

8min: First chance of the game: beautiful one-two inside the box between De Jong and Griezmann, Frenkie tries to find Messi for a tap-in but Sánchez gets to the ball first.

5min: Free-kick to Barça and Lionel Messi plays it short to Alba, whose cross hits Foulquier in... there.

3min: Barça’s first attack starts down the right and Griezmann tries a lob pass to Alba on the left, but the pass is too strong and Alba can’t direct it to a teammate.

2min: First attack goes to Granada as Foulquier is released down the right wing but his cross is blocked by Jordi Alba.
